2010-03-25 - Moldovan acting president to unveil draft new Constitution in Brussels
Parliament Speaker and acting President Mihai Ghimpu is paying a flash visit to Brussels, the parliament's media relations department has said.
Under the agenda, on 26 March, Mihai Ghimpu will meet European officials, including President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule and, possibly, President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barosso.
The sides will discuss ways to overcome the constitutional crisis and ensure stability in Moldova. Mihai Ghimpu is to present the final draft new Constitution, approved by the commission for constitutional reform on 24 March.
Acting President Mihai Ghimpu is accompanied by an MP of the Liberal Party, Ion Apostol.
